Shakespeare’s Curtain Theatre unearthed in East London

[sheep knuckle paving?! ewesome.]

The Curtain, first home of Henry V and Romeo and Juliet. There isn’t much news yet, but it’s good to pay attention early.  For now, just look at that picture. And then prepare yourself for the onslaught of scholars using new playhouse dimensions to prove that nothing happened onstage the way we think. And then take a breath, and listen to the other half prove that everything happened exactly how we think based on the exact same evidence. (And slap anyone who says, ‘But the Earl of Oxford never went to the Curtain!’)
